What Are The Position Of Radiographic ?
A radiographic projection is described by the direction of the central ray relative to aspects and planes of the body.
a) Anteroposterior ( AP) :- The x-ray beam is passed from the anterior side and emerges from the posterior side.
b) Posteroanterior (PA) :- The x-ray beam passed from the posterior side and emerges from the anterior side.
c) Lateral:– The x-ray beam passed from one side of the body and emerges from the other side of the body is called lateral. If the x-ray beam passed from the left side of the body and emerges from the right side of the body is called Right lateral. If the x-ray beam passed from the right side of the and emerges from the left side of the body is called left lateral.
d) Oblique:- The x-ray beam passed from the body along transverse plane at some angle between the median sagittal and coronal planes is called oblique. In oblique projection usually the median sagittal plane at some angle between 0° to 90° to the cassette.
e) Anterior oblique:- The x-ray beam passes the posterior side of the body and passes along a Transverse plane at some angle to median sagittal plane and emerges from the anterior side of the body.
f) Posterior oblique:- The x-ray beam passes the anterior side of the body and passes along a Transverse plane at some angle to median sagittal plane and emerges from the posterior side of the body.
